Heritage: about Venice & a Leica
I am extremely grateful for growing up in a family, where art has played an important role – be it music, theatre, fine art or photography. My earliest memories are my father taking pictures with his LEICA whilst traveling Italy or hiking in the Dolomite Alps.
One picture always had a great fascination, and until today, for me it is the essence of all these memories: his view of Venice, Italy. A slightly misty day in the 60s, people rushing over a square near the waters; in the distance, barely visible and yet distinguishable, the Chiesa San Giorgio Maggiore.
This picture always has been inspiration, heritage and a path to follow…
